News Story: Lake County nonprofits collaborate to provide rental assistance to those impacted by COVID

The public health and economic crises caused by COVID-19 have led the federal government to pass a number of stimulus bills providing relief to those negatively impacted by the pandemic. Approximately $13M came through the Lake County Economic Development Department (LCEDD) to help Lake County families needing rental and utility assistance.

LCEDD selected Geminus Corporation to lead a collaboration of local nonprofits and township trustees to distribute up to 12 months of rent and utility assistance for Lake County residents whose incomes were affected by COVID-19.
