Addressing the need for childcare in Porter County is the goal of Geminus Head Start's new Early Learning Academy.

A ribbon cutting Thursday morning celebrated the new Geminus Head Start building in Portage Township while little ones were already being cared for on their first day inside the 15,000-square-foot facility.

Geminus Head Start officially cut the ribbon on its new Porter County Early Learning Academy on Thursday, as it seeks to provide much needed childcare services for unincorporated South Haven and surrounding communities.

On the sunny morning of May 1, community members from across the Region gathered at the Avalon Manor banquet hall for Geminus’ annual Spring Provider Fair.

Families across Pulaski County came together on April 20 for the Safety Carnival at Eastern Pulaski Elementary School. It was a day of education and fun that included carnival games, prizes, free food, a photo booth, a balloon artist, and interactive tables hosted by various community organizations.  

On April 24, La Porte citizens braved the chilly weather to gather in front of the La Porte County Courthouse for Geminus’ annual Candlelight Vigil for Child Abuse.

With Easter baskets, photos with the Easter Bunny, and family dinners provided to La Porte County residents for free, families eagerly hopped on over to Advancing Christ's Kingdom Ministries in Michigan City for an Easter Bunny event on Thursday, March 28.

Community Partners, a family service program of Geminus Corporation, requests grant proposals for child abuse and neglect prevention services.

Geminus held a groundbreaking of its new Head Start facility. The building addresses early childhood education needs in Porter County.

On Sept. 20, The Geminus Corporation will host its annual Provider Fair at PNW’s Westville campus from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
