Call for Proposals to Implement Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Services

Community Partners, a family service program of Geminus, requests grant proposals for child abuse and neglect prevention services. The call for proposals supports Geminus’ partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services to provide community-based, social services to families and children in Benton, Porter, La Porte, Jasper, Pulaski, Starke and Newton counties.

Grant awards cover services between July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.

Applicant Criteria

  • Nonprofits in Benton, Porter, La Porte, Jasper, Pulaski, Starke and Newton counties
  • Prevention services support families and children in aforementioned counties

Submission Criteria

  • Applications are due by April 22, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. CST.
  • Submit to Community Partners, Geminus Corporation, 8400 Louisiana Street, Merrillville, IN 46410

Grant Proposal FAQs

Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend the Bidder’s Symposium on March 16, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Aberdeen Manor, 216 Ballantrae St, Valparaiso, IN. Current grantees are required to attend. Geminus staff will be on hand to discuss the process and answer questions.

Symposium is limited to two people per agency. For the health and safety of our guests and staff, we are taking every precautionary measure as outlined by the Indiana State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention very seriously. Temperature checks and face coverings or masks, placed over your nose and mouth, are required to enter the Bidder’s Symposium. High-touch services will be cleaned and sanitized regularly. Attendees should stay at least 6 feet from other people—social distancing will be monitored. Please stay home if you are sick.
